Action creates attitude

We are one of Norway's most active shorecleaning organisations with groups in approximately 30 communities, growing steady. As you can see from the picture above we have organized (al least) 213 shore cleaning actions so far in 2018! Congratulations to all of you and thank you. In Norway we (try to) report all actions to the Hold Norge Rent data base, a data base we support and report to, see above. We also report our international actions here (you only need an email account to log onto www.ryddeportalen.no). Norway has 101 million meters sea shoreline, and so far our teams have cleaned 169060 meters, 0.17 % of the total, so we need to engage more Clean Shores enthusiasts. When you use www.ryddeportalen.no for inviting to actions and reporting from actions, remember to specify Clean Shores Global from the pulldown manu on umbrella organisations defined; then you can enter  for example Clean Shores Calpe as your local cleaning group.

We are Clean Shores Global, and our challenge is global, which means we need to mobilize the whole World, but through LOCAL groups of volunteers who share our vision
We survive thanks to our Members, Sponsors and Partners - join through www.cleanshores.global
Thank you Members for supporting our cause, without you there would be more garbage in the ocean and along shorelines. Sola Strand Hotel is one of our Partners, partnering means that we work together in addition to the hotel sponsoring us. Twice per year we organize local Sola beach cleaning actions, and the hotel serves coffe, cakes, sometimes breakfasts and lunches, in addition to giving their employees time off during working time to participate in the action itself! Partnering comes in all forms, it is hard to say what cooperation potential there is before having sat down and talked it over, the possibilities are endless. Think local, national, global.
A typical clean-up action

Here another of our Partnes, Logi Trans, uses the opportunity of a company teambuilding event to also set aside two hours for cleaning one of their local sea shorelines. Afterwards they grilled and had fun on the beach, also bringing the next generation, to teach them how to do better than we have the last 50 years.
How important is your participation?
Helping to save the functionality of the Ocean is the most important thing you can do; 2 out of 3 breaths of oxygen, and helping to store one third of the carbon footprint of the World!
